A 16-year-old has been charged in connection with a shooting that happened almost a month ago, Dillon County Capt.

Dillon County sheriff's deputies have arrested three Dillon men in connection with an armed robbery Thursday night at a business on S.C. 57.

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a report of a Kentucky Fried Chicken night manager taking money from the business, according to a police report.

A 29-year-old Dillon County man is facing charges after police said he engaged in sexual acts with a 13-year-old girl in Marion, according to a press release issued Friday by the State Law Enforcement Division.

Dillon County could have a new coroner in place as early as next week. Gov. Mark Sanford's office is in the process of appointing a new coroner, Ben Fox, governor's spokesman, said.

A 5th grade student is recovering in Dillon County after being hit by a school bus early Friday morning.

On Monday, Dillon County lost Dan Grimsley, its coroner of nearly 25 years. By all accounts, Grimsley didn't have the personality one might expect of a county coroner.

The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office announced the arrests of Dewayne Everett Quick and Kimberly Dawn Brigman, after responding to a burglary on Highway 83 outside of Clio, which led to a brief manhunt for Quick.

A Dillon woman told police her husband of 22 years married another woman in Myrtle Beach earlier this year, according to a police report.
