Teenager drowns in Dade County after canoe capsizes

This is a reply to "James". Coming from someone who is related to Collin, I thought I would set the record straight. Everything you said was completely wrong, or what would be called a, "lie". But I would like to know what kind of person has the right to judge or justify the tragic death of a 16 year old boy. We don't have a body to bury. Maybe when or if you grow up and become a parent you will see how painful it is seeing your child hurt (not to mention die). I live in California so your ignorance is not new to me but our family in Missouri which is large and very close wouldn't wish this pain on anyone, not even a waste of life such as yourself. Your parents should have had abortion instead of giving you life. Remember what goes around will come around, you are first in line. Collette DuCharme(California)....

I live in Everton, Missouri. Not far from this accident. There's no way in hell that anyone deserves this. NOBODY! Whether child is in fault for taking the boat out or not. What if this was your child and I said this toward your family? Shut up about it, its really none of your business. This family is wonderful and deserve better. Kids will be kids.

Colin was a fantastic kid. One that others, adults and kids alike, looked up to and respected a great deal. He was a blessing to us all and is sorely missed.
