It is just awful that this officer killed himself. Should deputys have to go under medical evaluation evry three months to carry a gun. I don't know, but it might be a good idea.

Perhaps they should only be issued 1 bullet at a time like the real Barney Fife, then have to turn it in before they go home.

It is unfortunate that the officer decided to take his own life, however, Suicide is something that everyone will have to deal with, no matter what proffesion, however, it seems more prominint in Law Enforcement and Military careers. Most people only look at statistics, but I'd like everyone to realize that these military/law enforcement jobs, present stresses that most will never have to deal with, being that less than 10% of the population of the united states of america serve in these types of jobs.

Perhaps it is because in both professions you mention they are living a lie. They are taught to disregard the US Constitution, yet claim they are upholding it!

Annie D, apparently you didn't know this fine man. I did, and I could tell you many wonderful things about him. In fact, I couldn't tell you a single bad thing about him. Maybe you didn't deserve to know him.

NEGRO, you will answer for that comment someday, before GOD. If you actually knew who you were commenting about, you would have a different opinion. God help you.
