A 23-year-old woman and a one and a half-year-old child were involved in a one-car accident at Fish Lake west of Harris this morning.

As of press deadline Tuesday there were six people vying for the county commissioner District 3 seat. Four had filed in District 1 and Mike Robinson in Dist. 5 was being challenged only by Bob Carter, a rural Harris resident. Commissioner Bob Gustafson is being challenged by: Chris DuBose, Curt Flug, Jonathan Glassel, George McMahon and Jon Stignani. The four year term to represent Chisago City, Lindstrom, Center City and Chisago Lake Township South, will be on a primary ballot in September with the top vote getters moving on to the general election in November. Likewsie there will be a primary for District 1, which is currently represented by Lynn Schultz. Filing for this seat are: Lora Walker, Randy Larson, Veronica Korby and Schultz. Walker is from the Lent Township-Stacy area and the others have North Branch mailing addresses. Schultz lives outside of Center City. This district is everything south of Highway 95 within North Branch; east on #95 including the city of Taylors Falls, Franconia, Lent Township, Chisago Lake North and Shafer city and township areas.
