DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. - October 31, 2009 -- Firefighters in Chester County are battled a multiple alarm at a tire business.

A Philadelphia commuter train caught fire Wednesday, complicating the morning rush already hampered by the city's transit strike.

The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever shot two pet dogs in Chester County has increased to $25,000, Rich Britton, spokesman for the Chester County SPCA, said yesterday.

Two pet dogs were found shot to death Sunday and laid out tail to tail "like bookends" along railroad tracks in Pennsbury Township, Chester County, an official said this morning.
