Maybe I should consider myself lucky that they ran out of flu shots at the Memorial Medical Center clinic before I got there.

My wife and I are both EMT's with a county FD. To date the county has stonewalled providing any H1N1 protection for health responders; and until they do, we're not answering any "sick person" calls. we have no intention of putting our health, and possibly life, at risk for these nabobs.

Screw that flu shot, keep your hands clean and keep your distance from people when talking to them. Why would anyone want to inject that poison into them?

The last flu shot I took was a mandatory one while in the service. I was sick for a week. That was in 1982 and I have not taken a shot since then nor have I gotten sick.

should have been told that flu vaccine doesn't start working until two weeks after it's given. ask your doctor. if she went into the hospital, it's likely she was sick before she even got the vaccine.

go ahead and don't get it, conspiracy nuts. leave it for those of us with common sense.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Leo

Be choosy about who you spend time with today. If you're with someone who's habitually miserable or sorry for themselves, you'll soon be dragged down to their level and will struggle to recover again. However, you may feel such sympathy for their plight that you don't see you have any choice but to be with them. If so, do your best to remain positive.
