Sheriff's officials offered apologies Thursday after emergency severe weather sirens went off accidentally in Watertown, Victoria and Chaska.

The Carver County Sheriff's Office is reminding people to remove valuables from their vehicles after an increase in car break-ins. Since January thieves have stolen more than $156,000 in property from cars, according to the sheriff's office.
