Drugs easy to get, nearly impossible to get out of addiction
The availability of heroin, methamphetamine and prescription narcotics have set up a situation that makes it easier for Carbon County's youth to score any one of these than it would be for them to get a pack of cigarettes.

Price woman killed in Carbon County crash
Kelly Wise, 51, of Price, was driving east on U.S. Route 6 when she drifted into the westbound lane, striking an oncoming Nissan Rogue head-on about two miles south of Price shortly before 8 a.m., according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Former Helper resident killed by train while walking tracks near Colton and Emma Park
A 56-year-old Logan man and former Carbon County resident was killed after being struck by a train in the area between Colton and the Emma Park turnoff on Nov. 30. Stanley Lawrence "Larry" Litizzette was on a railroad bridge while hunting with his son.
