An old landfill in a struggling town near the Jersey shore could get a new life.

The City of Cape May will host "Kites over the Cape" Saturday and Sunday, June 27 and 28, 2009 from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will include kites of all types and sizes, as well as kite making and flying, racing, demonstrations and lessons on the beach between Decatur Street and Convention Hall.
