Two $1 million Powerball tickets drawn; prizes yet to be claimed

Two winning Powerball tickets - one from Baltimore City, one from Calvert County , and each with a second-tier prize of $1 million - were pulled from Wednesday night's drawing, said the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency on Thursday.

MARYLAND: Republicans replace House leadership

Delegate Nicholaus Kipke, R-Anne Arundel, was elected on Tuesday as the GOP House minority leader, replacing Calvert County Republican Anthony O'Donnell. Delegate Kathy Szeliga, R-Baltimore County, was also elected by Republican lawmakers to replace Eastern Shore Republican Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio as House minority whip.
