Calera man dies in crash

A 79-year-old Calera man was killed Thursday after falling asleep at the wheel and crashing his pickup, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said. Henery Van Stubblefield was dead at the scene of the 6:15 a.m. crash on Platter Road one mile west of Calera.

Man charged with 'sexting' to minors

Stephen Cody Coulter, 26, is facing two counts of soliciting sexual conduct or communication with a minor by use of technology after he was identified as the man sending explicit messages to two young sisters via Facebook, according to Calera Police. Coulter attends the same church as the two girls and was confronted by church pastor Adam Cantrell when they heard of his actions, an affidavit states.

79-year-old Calera man dies after crash in Bryan County

About 6:15 a.m., Henery Stubblefield, 79, of Calera, was driving east on a Platter Road about 1 mile east of Calera. The car he was driving went off the road to the right, hit a culvert and then hit a tree, troopers said.

Search Continues for Soper Man Presumed Drowned on Lake Hugo

Crews continue searching for Soper man presumed to have drowned on Lake Hugo yesterday afternoon.The lake is empty as rain pours down. Campgrounds are closed and the only boats belong to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and park rangers, all searching for 50-year-old Bryan Luscomb.
