Family of man killed by hit-and-run driver offering $10K reward
A $10,000 reward is now being offered in the case of a Louisville man who was leaving a music festival when he was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Brown County, Indiana. His love for Bluegrass was the reason Demuth and his girlfriend attended the Bluegrass Music Festival at Bill Monroe Music Park on June 1. Demuth's girlfriend left the festival early, so he started making his way out sometime after midnight.

Rep. Todd Young Announces 2014 9th District Congressional Veterans Commendation Winners
Rep. Todd Young on Friday announced that Sergeant Michael O'Hara from Brown County, Colonel Shirly M. Ohta from Floyd County, and Staff Sergeant Merrill E. St. John from Orange County were the winners of the 2014 Congressional Veterans Commendation for the 9th District of Indiana. O'Hara and St. John were presented their awards at town hall meetings in recent weeks, and Ohta will receive hers at an event in October.

Brown Co. Man Arrested After Assualted Woman
An incident on August 31 near Hornettown Road resulted in an hour long standoff between a Brown County man and police from four agencies. 35-year-old Daryl Pfaehler, was arrested Aug. 31 and charged with criminal confinement, a Level 6 felony; battery resulting in bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor; and failure to stop after accident resulting in non-vehicle damage, a Class B misdemeanor.

Man Arrested After Holding Wife As 'Slave' And Torturing Her
A Seymour man is facing 38 charges including rape, criminal deviate conduct and criminal confinement after police discovered he had forced his wife to sign a contract to be his slave. 32-year-old Kenneth Eugene Harden, of Seymour, was arrested Saturday on strangulation and domestic battery charges related to an incident at his home.
