“Craig Thomas was also a Senate colleague and a good friend, so I am doubly pleased that we are able to recognize his vision and leadership...”
The people who came up with the idea to establish the Craig Thomas Little Mountain Special Management Area in honor of the late U.S. Sen. Craig Thomas got it right.

While the exact boundaries apparently aren't available yet on its maps, the area managed by the Bureau of Land Management in Big Horn County is one of the most stunning parts of Wyoming. Nestled near the Montana border, Little Mountain juts off the northwest end of the Big Horn Mountains. It is separated from the Pryor Mountains to the west by Wyoming and Montana's own Grand Canyon, the Big Horn Canyon, and the reservoir waters backed up by the Yellowtail Dam. Another jagged gorge, Devil's Canyon, runs along the north edge of the mountain. The area extends into some spectacular country in the Big Horn Mountains. Read more
