Animals in hoarder home rescued on CR 159

The out-of-state owner of 18 dogs and seven cats living in a squalid home on Baxter County Road 159 voluntarily gave up her rights to the animals over the weekend, allowing workers from the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas to rescue them from horrid conditions Monday morning.

There were 10 defendants sentenced to jail time. Those cases are reported here: Michael Allen Ashworth,20, of Springfield, Mo., was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit given for eight days served for nonpayment of fines.
