New cause listed in woman's 1990 death

Further proof that thieves will steal almost anything left unattended: A steel animal trap was taken less than two days after it was placed at a Winder residence by a Barrow County Animal Control employee.

Health department closing for move
The Barrow County Health Department's last day of services at its current location off East Broad Street is Wednesday, April 16. For the relocation to its renovated facility at 15 Porter St. in downtown Winder, the department will be closed April 17-23, according to a press release.
