Gloverville robbery suspect arrested in Philadelphia

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office has captured one of two men accused in the armed robbery of a Graniteville convenience store in May. Marvin Barefield, 25, of Aiken, was arrested Thursday in Philadelphia by detectives with the Philadelphia Police Department, according to Sgt.

Deputies investigating rash of car break-ins

An 18-year-old Graniteville man was charged with several car break-ins Wednesday after a resident caught him trying to break into a vehicle and held him until police arrived, according to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.
