Menallen township man cited with animal cruelty for neglecting more than 30 goats

Conewago Police Chief suing Township Supervisors
In Conewago Township, Adams County, the Police Chief is suing the Board of Supervisors, claiming the board violated his civil rights. Police Chief David Williams says the supervisors harassed police officers and tried to get them fired, in revenge for their Collective Bargaining Agreement.
DUI enforcement planned in York, Adams counties
A sobriety checkpoint will be held in Adams County and a roving DUI patrol will be conducted in York County during the upcoming weekend as part of the Center for Traffic Safety's Sobriety Checkpoint and Expanded DUI/Underage Drinking Enforcement Program. The enhanced DUI enforcement operations will both be held sometime between 6 p.m. on Friday and 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Former Adams County teacher arrested for alleged sex assault
Nathan Lee Stock, 38, of East Berlin, is charged with institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, indecent assault and four counts of corruption of minors, according to court records. Stock allegedly had sexual contact with a student at his home, as well as at the student's home between 2010 and 2013, according to a news release from state police in Gettysburg.

Police: Former teacher had sex with student; gave students marijuana
GETTYSBURG, ADAMS CO., Pa.-Former Adams County teacher, Nathan Lee Stock, 38, is accused having sexual relations with a student. A State Police investigation concluded that Stock had sexual contact with a student of the Bermudian Springs School District.

Police: Cumberland Twp man called 911 after injuring four children
A Cumberland Township man was arrested after he admitted to injuring two adults and threatening several others, including four children, according to Cumberland Township police. Dustin James Sites, 23, allegedly called police on Aug. 31, telling them he could not control himself and wanted to harm his family, according to an affadavit filed with Magisterial District Judge Mark Beauchat.

An Adams County man is expected to be charged with animal cruelty after several goats and sheep were seized from his farm. Some of the goats seized by the Adams County SPCA still have a hard time walking because of overgrown hooves.

Help needed to rebuild East Coast Exotic Animal Rescue
East Coast Exotic Animal Rescue in Fairfield, Adams County, has been closed since the rescue's main building was destroyed by fire in May. The burned-out building still needs to be torn down, and the rescue has no money to rebuild. Although the building was insured, East Coast Exotic Animal Rescue did not get the insurance money.
