The Adams County event, which reportedly brought in some $66,000 to fight cancer and help its victims, was held at Adams Central School.
The offices for Adams County, Decatur, Berne, and Geneva will be closed on Friday due to the Fourth of July holiday on Saturday.
It was announced that the event has already made more than $40,000. Some 60 cancer survivors walked the first lap , then were joined by dozens of caregivers and six members of the Decatur Fire Department who walked in the heat while wearing full firefighting gear.
