Three Dead In Adair Co. Double Murder-Suicide

This is a very sad story. My heart goes out to all the families. THe guy that did the shooting just snapped. I'm sure he too was a nice person when he was in his right mind. What is really sad is that the children of the woman might have seen what happen to their mother.

I knew the guy that did it and the girl............they were a nice bunch............I'm in shock I guess..don't know much else to say is that may the Lord be with them and they're families.

If you thought they were a "nice bunch" they must have had you completely fooled. A "nice bunch" does not end up like this.

This happens anywhere to any family whether they are good or bad....................

Frontier, you are exactly right. Sometimes life gets hard and people just snap. Judge not lest ye' be judged!

I wonder if they were saved

I knew the mother and her children and she was very nice and a great mother. Who are you to say that they were not or they would have not ended up like this!! How dare you judge!! Bad things can and do happen to all people nice or bad. Think about the Oklahoma City bombing and the Trade Center Bombing... are you telling me that those people where fooling everybody and deserved what they got?? Think! before you say things like "A nice bunch does not end up like this." Think long and hard.... just how "nice" are you?

What kind of person asks something like that? They were asleep. He shot the other man first and she screamed and he shot her! What does it matter if she begged him or not!

maybe the good lord was teaching them a lesson. I think we can all learn a thing or two from this

I knew it was just a matter of time until Kaboom and the rest of the jerks to get on this site and make stupid remarks. They do that to every site that is posted on this forum.

Did you know the victims? I don't think so!! You think this is how the good Lord teaches lessons? I don't know about your "Lord" but I know my God is a forgiving God and loving God. Just what do you think we can learn from this horrible situation? What I know is that there are now four children without a mother... a mother who was there for them.... a mother who took care of them... a mother who loved them. Now she is gone and two of them have to deal with the fact that they were there when she was killed.

This woman had four children. Had she ever had to get a protective order against this man. Does anyone know if he had told her he was going to do something like this. Does anyone know if she was scared of him. Did he just out of the blue kill these people without regard to the children. What a loser. He should have just killed himself.

how could she be there for them if she was out sleeping around this guy must have had a reason to do the things he did. A good mother would not have put herself in that posistion in the first place.

Just a note, everyone I have talked to today had nothing but good things to say about this woman. I didnt know her but she must have been a good mother and a great person. This Gary guy Ive not heard anything about him. was he also a pretty good guy. What about Shawn , would anyone that knew him ever dream he would do something like this. I didnt know anyone of the three but the families of all have been on my mind all day.What a shock. I have not made any sense of this. Why , what, would one be thinking when they kill because someone doesn't want to be with them any longer. I have had a heart break before but I didnt ever think of killing the two of them. Some I guess can not handle that type of stuff.

Okay, "Kaboom" oviously you are just on this blog to get a rise out of people... to see just how mad you can make someone. We have all seen by your responses just how ignorant people can be and how obviously you have nothing intelligent to say or your responses would be different. If you would have paid any attention to my responses you would have known that this happened in the middle of the night and she was at home with her children. You said earlier "the good Lord was teaching them a lesson" what kind of lesson have you learned lately? Obviously you have not learned the lessons of compassion or empathy. I have responded to your ignorance for the last time. Just know... Lela (the mother that was killed) was a wonderful, caring, loving mother and she will truly be missed by her children and those that knew her. I hope that all the intelligent people reading this blog will remember that and will pray for her friends, family.... and especially her children. They are wonderful kids and NO ONE deserves this kind of heartache.
