Accomack schools honor 11 retirees
Accomack County Public Schools honored 11 retiring employees Thursday night at Nandua High School with a dinner and program featuring remarks by Virginia Education Association President Kitty Boitnott.
Margaret "Maggie" MacDade of Arcadia High School and Emily Rippon of Northampton High School have been named co-winners of the 2009 Eastern Shore News Leadership Award and presented a plaque and a $1,000 check at their respective graduations.
