Randall supervisors pitch old fire department building for Bassett Post Office

Three Randall town supervisors urged United States Postal Service officials to consider the former Randall Fire Department station in Bassett as a location for the Bassett Post Office at a meeting at Town Hall Tuesday. The meeting was held by US Postal Service officials to update the community on the status of the Bassett Post Office, which closed in July after losing its lease.

Man accused of flashing mail carrier in City Park

Paul Celestine, 22, of LaPlace, was arrested on a charge of obscenity after a mail carrier accused him of flashing his genitals at her at City Park. A 22-year-old man booked into Orleans Parish Prison this week is accused of flashing his genitals at a mail carrier in City Park , and police say he admitted to flashing four other women before that incident.

Former Lee Co. USPS employee charged in missing mail case

The former United States Postal Service employee, indentified in court records as Michael Marquez, appeared in court last week and was released on his own recognizance. Prosecutors allege he "destroyed, detained, and delayed" more than 400 pieces of first class mail on at least two occasions in February.
