Both republican and democrat alike should be saddened by the loss of so many high paying jobs.
The Electric rates were the death knell for these factories,and no one republican or democrat seems to be able to do anything to reign in the energy moguls!

You wouldn't make that comment about "the death industry" if you worked there, they also made Bible paper, I'm so sick of layoffs in the United States so plants can go to China!! We are becoming a 3rd world country because of big business relocating to forign countries. So good ridence to the death industry, you might eat those words someday!

I'm not one of your hated liberals but both sides of the aisle can take the blame for this. Surely democrats acted as you have said but the companies should have been able to find other products and adjust to the times and avoid taking the simple way out.... hiring overseas workers where they get paid little and the company neednt worry about the environment. Conservatives havent done anything to stop this either??? Why because they benefit. In the end the companies would rather be based overseas.,

Is it wrong to protect the envirionment..... try breathing the air in Beijing..... the will eventually ruin their rivers and air to the degree we did in the early industrial revolution.

Take a longer term approach on jobs and the environment. It also requires we protect jobs in the USA but to some conservatives that is too close to communism. But it could be called patriotic.....you know buy American,,, support American Jobs......

We a haven't heard that for a very long time,,,,, since WWII for real. But at that time we had no choice really, the only other strong manufacturing countries were at a war at too busy making things for their war effort.

After WWII US manufacturing boomed..... yes... But why, because we are so efficient,, the American worker was/is the best. Well not really, we were the only real manufactruing country with any infrastructure left...We were great at least partially because there was no competition.

Mr Bremen please stop your fear mongering and lets get to work on our future. Stop pointing fingers and start looking for or offering some real solutions that work for everyone, not just a few. The world CAN actually function in such a way ,,,,,,, it need not be called communism.

by the way, the US manufacturing workers are losing their shirts to communits workers..... now the most productive in the world

OK let's begin. Put even more bans on any construction because it may (or many not)present some inconvenience to caribou, coyotes and some worms. Let sue to death whatever is still moves here. Protect environment! Kill all cows - they emit CO2.(The next will be people I suppose). Develop alternative "do not what" energy! Put all business owners and CEO into concentration camps and force them to create and run business which you want and the way you want. Go ahead to the future full blast! How oBAMa Hussein says - Enough is enough! But I am out of this bright future of mankind. Sorry. Do it yourself with your comrades. Where are you? Ku-ku!

You gotta be insane , if you think that I can offer solutions for the mankind. Only you and your comrades always knew the way to the bright future of mankind. Did not work though! Now neodems came up with solution, which consists of even more idiotic slogans good for brainwashed mob.
I can offer to pull 40-50 years back and repeal all the laws and regulations which killed this place. In short go back to normal life.

Sorry I was gone for a while. You've obviously missed the point. Sounds like you'd rather have a dictatorship where YOU make the rules. I've never stated that communism was the way to go you see things as you like........ simplify them as you like and you will alway be correct.

We need solutions and I just dont think your approach will ever allow them.... though I will not give up.
