The spate of acquisitions at Perrigo Company continued with its purchase of an ophthalmic sterile ointment and the solution product portfolio from the privately-held Fera Pharmaceuticals, for approximately $93 million in cash.

Perrigo Company today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire and has completed the acquisition of an ophthalmic sterile ointment and solution product portfolio from Fera Pharmaceuticals, LLC and its affiliates , a privately-held, Long Island, New York-based specialty pharmaceutical company.

Common shares of the store-brand products began trading Thursday in the New York Stock Exchange, making a transition from the Nasdaq Global Select Market.

It develops, manufactures and distributes over-the-counter products, generic prescription pharmaceuticals, nutritional products, active pharmaceutical ingredients , infant formulas, and consumer products.
