Nasdaq stocks rebounded Wednesday after a rocky session.
The index closed with a 1% gain. It was up 1.4% shortly after the market open, but gave it all back by late afternoon. It then bounced back in the session's final two trading hours. Volume rose from Tuesday's level.
Midland (MLAN) gapped up, jumping 6.30, or 11%, to a record close of 63.57 as volume skyrocketed to its highest in years.
