Police identify man airlifted after accident

Police have identified the driver who was airlifted to the hospital Friday after a single-vehicle accident on Highland Street. Rochester resident William Clark, Jr., 61, was airlifted to Maine Medical Center after the Buick Century he was driving went off the road on Highland Street and came to rest in the woods.

Building owner reacts to Route 1 fire

WMTW News 8 at 11's Paul Meriill reports from the scene of a three-alarm fire on Route 1 in Scarborough and talks with the Scarborough Commons' owner, who said the experience was like a bad dream for him and his tenants. The building had doctors and lawyers' offices, as well as a hair salon.

Driver airlifted after Rochester crash

A man was flown to a Maine hospital Friday after his vehicle went off the road on Highland Street and landed in the woods, where emergency officials battled swarms of bees while attempting to extricate him and give him medical aid. According to police, the driver of the vehicle, who is not being identified at this time, was airlifted to Maine Medical Center after suffering injuries in the crash.
