When the constitutional amendment to permit a Kentucky state lottery was being crafted in 1988, there was much discussion in the Legislature about whether the amendment would open the door to other forms of gambling in Kentucky - casino-style games like Keno, for instance.

New keno game boosts sales for Kentucky Lottery

Kentucky Lottery Chief Financial Officer Howard Kline told The State Journal that the bingo-style game, which has drawings every five minutes, sold $28.5 million in wagers as of June 21. He says that's about $500,000 more than estimated.
