WebMediaBrands Inc. has changed its name to Mediabistro Inc. As part of the repositioning, the company also changed its Nasdaq stock ticker symbol to MBIS and unveiled a redesigned home page .

The New York-based Mediabistro , known for its job board, courses, editorial content and trade shows for media professionals, also said its Nasdaq ticker symbol will be changed to "MBIS" from "WEBM."
