Genzyme Corp., said profit fell 87 percent as a plant closure restricted drug supplies, and the company lowered its full-year earnings forecast Third-quarter net income fell to $16 million, or 6 cents a share, from $119.6 million, or 42 cents, a year earlier, the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company said today in a statement.
This morning, Genzyme Corp reported third quarter earnings of 19 cents per share, which was well below the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 31 cents and the year ago earnings of 93 cents.
