I don't know...11 years is a long time. He'll spend the last of his youth in prison, where conditions are terrible. And I get the sense that this was somewhat of a mutual combat situation. So it's unfortunate that it escalated to a deadly level. And apparently there wasn't a viable "self defense" defense, probably due to either Capilli instigated the fight, or to his actions with the knife being offensive rather than defensive (like, gets his ass kicked by winters....gets up, retrieves knife from car or place of concealment, goes after him again.

In any case, 11 years seems like it could be a fair, possibly even a harsh sentence.

I think to know the details of the case. Capili who is just 5'6" tall & the other guy is what more than 6 feet tall & who has a lot of police records and specially who is well knowned to hate asians. And on the preliminary hearing w/all the witnesses shows what kind of a person he is and compared to this poor guy who has no crimnal records at all. I think it's a case of self defense coz in the news that capili was beaten pretty bad and that this shows that other person was really planning to do something very bad to him. I feel very sorry for both side that this tradegy happen. this could have been avoided if someone tried to break the fight instead of watching.
