Alan Sealls of WKRG-TV 's weather department used WKRG-TV 's former brand name "TV5" in the weather segment for WKRG-TV's local 10:00 p.m. news program last Friday, September 12th, while mentioning an Internet recording of a special local TV program WKRG-TV had originally broadcast in the year 1989 in observance of the 10th anniversary of the day a tropical cyclone named "Frederic" affected Mobile and other parts of WKRG-TV's local broadcast area at the time .

Book Signing, Denver Beat Guide News and Spoken Word Invite

Examiner readers haven't heard from this reporter in 53 days, the reason being I have been contracted to write a combined history of the Beat Generation and a guide to landmarks of their passage through Denver and environs by October of this year, for publication in early 2015, in time for the upcoming Neal Cassady Birthday bash, to be held at the Mercury Cafe on February 8th of that year. Some of the narration in WALA-TV's new commemorative report about a past tropical cyclone named "Frederic" on their local 5:00 p.m. news program this past Friday came from another commemorative report about the same cyclone from the year 2009 . Bob Grip of WALA-TV's news department used part of this past Friday's edition of their local 5:00 p.m. news program to present a static image of his self reporting for WKRG-TV from Mobile's downtown area in September 1979 shortly after it was affected by the tropical cyclone named "Frederic" .

WALA-TV had a live news conference* from Lexington County, South Carolina broadcast immediately after the end of their local entertainment and lifestyle program this past Wednesday, September 10th, between 10:00 a.m. and 10:21 a.m., instead of the beginning of a past edition of "The Wendy Williams Show" **, the syndicated discussion program that usually proceeded the entertainment and lifestyle program in their programming from Monday through Friday.

Missouri Democratic Governor Jay Nixon is criticizing several sales tax exemptions targeted to data centers. The Examiner reports Nixon is particularly focused on 10 bills he says would cost local governments $351.2 million annually, as well as $425.1 million lost to the state.

WPMI-TV 's live video stream occasionally had audio of people speaking during commercial breaks for their local news programming and audio recordings of material being prepared for such programming recently. For example, it had audio of a song titled "Pumped Up Kicks" during a break for today's edition of their local morning news program along with audio of an unidentified person talking about what he thought was its true meaning before saying some people would not notice this meaning and saying "mic check".
