The merger of the McLaren or Karmanos cancer institutes is expected to be completed by next fall, officials at both institutes said Wednesday, Dec. 11. Despite the Detroit Medical Center's attempt to block the merger in court, McLaren and Karmanos have begun creating care standards for the merged operations.
