Fire destroyed A Black Hills family's home Saturday night. According to Sturgis Volunteer Fire Chief Tom Trigg, firefighters were dispatched to the home on Whipper-will Court in Boulder Canyon around 8:20 PM.

Construction closes part of Rapid City's Omaha Street

Construction on the railroad crossing at Third and Omaha Streets began Friday. Project managers says they closed traffic at the crossing to ensure the safety of both vehicles and pedestrians.

Enright named director of Custer museum

The Rapid City Journal reports that Gary Enright was appointed by the museum's Board of Trustees to the position and will begin his duties on April 15. Enright is originally from Timber Lake and recently moved to the Black Hills after retiring from a career in management.
