Sotheby's announced that their next Comic Strip sale in Paris, on 7 March 2015, will feature selected works by leading comic strip artists from around the world. Sotheby's opens Asia's first wine retail store in Hong Kong

Auction house Sotheby's said on Tuesday it has opened its first Asian retail wine store in Hong Kong in a bid to tap strong demand for high-quality and readily available vintages. The new outlet in Hong Kong's Central business district, which is the second Sotheby's wine retail store after its first in New York opened in 2010, offers a wide range of wines to collectors, investors and wine drinkers, it said in a statement.

Map which helped Lawrence of Arabia expected to fetch A 70,000-A 100,000

The only map drawn by Lawrence of Arabia during a key struggle against the Ottoman Empire is expected to fetch up to A 100k at auction. The hand drawn document with notes, which shows northern Arabia, is more than 90 years old and will be sold at Sotheby's on November 4. It was used in TE Lawrence's legendary journey across the desert in the Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire leading to the capture of Aqaba in 1917.
