University of the Cumberlands football player shot, killed

A University of the Cumberlands football player who was set to make his return to the team after a two-year hiatus is dead following a fatal shooting at a nightclub in Tampa, FL Monday morning.

I agree this is a pitiful story. How very sad! What a shame he did not get that chance to come back and finish up his degree. I'd like to know the follow-up on this story, so if anyone finds out, please post and let us know. For instance, what was the shooting about and if anyone was charged with the murder. This is a heart-breaking story for sure. I can't seem to stop thinking about it.

He was a great guy!!! I use to hang out with him all the time.. I heard he was with his friends at a strip club and a couple guys started something and when Marcus went outside they shot him and his friend and he did not make it.. Stil makes me sad..
