Colorado college lets students keep pets in dorms

It's move-in day at the University of Northern Colorado, and this year some students are being allowed to bring their cats or dogs to live with them in dorms. Pets under 40 pounds are being allowed on two of the 17 floors of Lawrenson residence hall, home to about 400 students.

A debate declared apolitical by both sides split the Colorado State Board of Education precisely along party lines during the board's regular meeting Wednesday in Denver. The discussion centered on the new Advanced Placement U.S. History framework laid out for all AP U.S. History classes in the country by the College Board, a national nonprofit that produces frameworks and tests for all AP classes in the nation.

Hickenlooper, Beauprez reject invitation to debate at UNC

The University of Northern Colorado Student Senate is moving forward with its scheduled gubernatorial debate despite two polls released Monday that show just how little voters care about the candidates that will participate. Neither Republican challenger Bob Beauprez or Gov. John Hickenlooper, the incumbent Democrat, are planning to join in UNC's debate, said Adam Gardner, UNC's Student Senate director of student affairs.
