Former acting president at UMW plans to retire

University of Mary Washington Executive Vice President Rick Hurley, who served as acting president for about a year, plans to retire May 1. Hurley, 62, came to UMW nine years ago and has been a chief financial officer while also directing capital projects, public safety, human resources and business operations.
