'People's pledge' a popular U.S. policy

The 2012 U.S. Senate race in the Bay State between Republican Scott Brown and Democrat Elizabeth Warren saw them hammer out the "people's pledge" - a deal designed to discourage outside group attack ads - which is now gaining traction throughout the country and gives voters a clearer view of the candidates, one expert said.
