The article makes it sound like religion is gone forever and they're looking for a handful of elderly citizens who still remember what it was like to have faith. Strange, but what do you expect from the land of the Chickenhawk?

Hey now - how do you translate the regard for and collection of oral histories into a slam against Jayhawks? That's a peculiar stretch. Sounds like a wildcat maneuver to me.

While my son would say you're misguided...I just think you should see a doctor. <smile> I'm sure that could be cleared right up.

Well, you know purple is created only by mixing the original properties of Red and Blue.

My best experience at KSU was going to see The Byrds play there - must have been back in the late 70's. I think Joan Baez might have been with them. At one point, the electricity went out. Roger McGuinn's ad lib cracked me up.

I camped out at Ahearn Field House to get tickets to the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1972 or 73. Good show.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Scorpio

Self-worship is easy and obvious, today. The real prize is when you turn from the mirror to see that others think just as highly of you. Take in all this love and amazement, and store some away for lean times in the future. Someone may give you an unexpected compliment later in the day, but don't let them know that it caught you off guard. After all, you still have your reputation as an egomaniac to uphold!
