UH-Hilo hires ex-HPD deputy chief

The University of Hawaii at Hilo hired a former Honolulu Police Department deputy chief and former corporate director of security for Outrigger Hotels as director of campus security at UH-Hilo. Warren J. Ferreira has more than 40 years of law enforcement and security expertise, the university said in a news release.
