SCICU awards research grant to students, faculty
Southern Wesleyan University professors Emily Germain and Dr. Rocky Nation were awarded the 2013 South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Undergraduate Student/Faculty Research Program Grant, which is providing more than $5,000 in funding to be divided between two separate research projects.

Overholtzer awarded research grant
He will work with Emily Germain, a professor at the school. His project "The Effects of Competitive and Cooperative Violent Game Play on Aggressive Behavior" will explore the popularity of violent video games and possible connections with well-publicized shootings in recent months.
