I still have my doubts about online learning. It seems like accountability could be a big issue. But Wachenheim was an online professor to begin with, so she's probably quite good at her job.

I think it really depends on the student. I never seemed to get much from time spent in the classroom. Working on my own was far more productive.

My husband is a kiowa mechanic in the Army. He has already been deployed to Iraq once and is scheduled to be deployed again early in 2010. Last time he was over there, he completed a total of eight classes (equal to 24 credit hours) over the fifteen months he was gone. That's more than my brother managed to complete while going to a traditional college. It just goes to show that it really depends on the student and how dedicated they are to completing their education!

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Scorpio

Self-worship is easy and obvious, today. The real prize is when you turn from the mirror to see that others think just as highly of you. Take in all this love and amazement, and store some away for lean times in the future. Someone may give you an unexpected compliment later in the day, but don't let them know that it caught you off guard. After all, you still have your reputation as an egomaniac to uphold!
