In the last two months, a new GI Bill was introduced for post 9/11 veterans. Two men enrolled in college in East Tennessee say the bill has helped jump start their lives after leaving the armed forces.

The Rev. Anne McKee, Maryville College's campus minister, and Diana Lovelace -- coordinator for service, mission and vocation -- recently traveled with 11 students to visit northeast seminaries.

Charles Arthur Brand, 90, Green Bay, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2009. He was born July 24, 1919, in Wausau, Wis., to the late Arthur and Margaret Brand.
