The Annville Free Library will host a book launch on Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. for Arthur Ford's latest novel, "The Offer: Stan Pickering Meets the World." Ford, an Annville resident and a retired Lebanon Valley College professor, will discuss his novel, read passages from it and sign copies of the book, which will be for sale.

Have you ever watched the creation of a mandala "painting?" It's a sacred art practiced by Tibetan monks, consisting of tiny grains of colored, powdery sand, carefully placed on a large waist-high flat platform.
