FMU tuition going up, but still one of lowest in the state

At its quarterly meeting, the Francis Marion University Board of Trustees approved a general fund budget Thursday for the 2014-15 fiscal year of $50,643,647, according to FMU Executive Director Public Affairs Tucker Mitchell.

Demoliton of historic Florence building put off until next week

The demolition has been delayed for the past four days after officials say the City of Florence and owner of the demolition company failed to get neccessary permits from the South Carolina Department of Transportation to close the roads around the Trust building.
