Kansas regents vote to conduct audits at three universities
Kansas higher education officials Thursday called for more audits of public universities after a review at Kansas State University raised questions.The Kansas Board of Regents voted to conduct additional audits at Emporia State University, Fort Hays State University and Wichita State University.
The increases range from 3.9 percent to 8.5 percent for in-state undergraduate residents and from 3.9 percent to 7.5 percent for out-of-state undergraduate residents.
The Board of Regents approved tuition increases Thursday for the 2009-10 academic year, including a hike of 7.5 percent for undergraduate and graduate students at Fort Hays State University.
