It's been nine and a half years since Kate Elliott started her academic journey at the University of Iowa.

It's that time of year -- time for the annual Icky's. On Jan. 24, the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance, or ICCA, will present its fourth annual meeting and Excellence in Innovation Awards, otherwise known as "The Icky's,") from 7 to 9 p.m., at Sinclair Auditorium on the Coe College campus.

I'm not sure where I picked up the hobby, but I think it can be traced to the Drops of Ink newsroom at Libertyville High School, fall semester, 1995.
