Black Comedy is farcical fun at Strawshop

Written by Peter Shaffer in 1965, its major conceit uses theater lighting to create a visual trick: when Shaffer's characters flip the light switch to the 'on' position in the London flat where the play is set, the stage goes dark; and when the lights go out in the flat, the lights are fully up on stage. You could say that the play hopes to illuminate what people do in the dark, if you'd like.
