Officers responded to a report of a person disturbing the peace. The victim reported a person causing him/her fear with a knife and cutting the tire on a vehicle.

Criminal damage to property by vandalism was reported at 4:17 a.m. on the 800 block of West King Street.

A new home was destroyed by fire early Sunday morning in Vilas. A neighbor awoke to see the glow of the blaze and called 911 at approximately 1:45 a.m. Firefighters arrived at 434 R Lane Road off Linville Creek Road to find the new construction completely engulfed in flames.
