Man, 19, killed in Yucaipa horse-riding accident

It was horrible, I went outside for a smoke and saw the fire department with their searchlight on so I started to walk over to fence to see what they were looking for when I heard terrified screams from a woman saying "Help Help we are up here and he is not breathing, please help us", so I yelled back to her that help was coming then I yelled at the fire truck that they are up here and they need to come down onto Bryant St, it took them a few minutes they then could hear her screaming for help, my son Paul and daughter-in-law Jami ran up the wash with my big light they got there before the fire department and sheriffs dept. he was lying face down in the wash with what appeared to be his mothers kneeling at his side screaming he is not breathing, the fire department had to cut a big lock off and had to drive up about 100 yards where the injured man was, the ambulance got stuck in the soft sand and had to be dug out so about 6 firefighters brought him to the street on a gurney from the ambulance they were admintrating full CPR on the man, then they shocked him with no response at all, the ambulance was only stuck in the sand for a few minutes then they ALL had to drive in revise to get out as there was no place for them all to turn around, it was all very stressful. I am just so glad that I went out for a smoke and went to see what the fire department was looking for at the Equestrian Center that is next to our back yard, or god know's how long they would have been up there in the wash before help would have arrived. My son Paul helped the distraught woman take their horses back over to their horse trailer, he unsaddled the horses and put them into the trailer as the lady was really distraught over the accident. We want to express our deepest sorrow for their loss.

Omg.....Ethan was one of my really good friends, he and I barrel raced together...I couldn't go to the funeral, it was too hard for me....

i heard the hole incident over a police scanner and i still wake up crying with the hairs on my neck standing up...i couldnt believe it was ethan i didnt want to believe it was ... my deepest sympathy goes out to his big brother justin, mother lisa and lil brother kiefer .... love you guys
