It was only a day after residents in both municipalities suffered through one of the worst storms many said they hadn't experienced since 2006.

Flood evacuations in parts of Sullivan
The road became a river as residents walked shin-deep in water down Route 52 from the village after a flash flood that forced some people from their homes and officials to close off many of the roads coming into the village.
